Why we’re building Comfrey
By The Comfrey Team
Open most phones and you’ll find the same thing: a workout tracker, a separate nutrition app, something for runs, a sleep tracker, and a notes app full of PRs nobody will ever read again. Five apps, five logins, five sets of data that never meet.
That fragmentation isn’t a minor annoyance — it’s the reason progress stalls. Your training doesn’t know what your nutrition is doing. Your recovery data sits in a silo. And no single screen can answer the only question that matters on a given morning: what should I do today?
One app that sees everything
Comfrey is built around a simple idea — the tools should share a brain. Workouts, cardio, nutrition, body metrics, sleep, and recovery all live in one place, so the app can reason across them instead of guessing.
- Lifting and cardio in the same history, not two apps.
- Nutrition that the coach can actually use, not a separate diary.
- Recovery signals that change today’s recommendation, not a vanity chart.
Built for people who take it seriously
We’re not trying to gamify a walk to the mailbox. Comfrey is for people chasing a number — a PR, a race, a body-composition goal — who want the whole picture in one place and a coach that adapts to it.
